Dearest Hannah

I forgot to ask you to bring me some post cards from your travels. I have a nice little collection in my classroom. I would love to add some more. Please pick me up some from all your travels. You don't have to mail them, but the foreign stamp does add some cool value if you are a fourth grader. :)
Miss you
Have Fun!!
Emily

P.s. I thought you would check the blog so I chose it for this communication!! :)

For those of you that made it to Clive's birthday last September, this is the same park. It is really gorgeous covered in snow.

Awesome kid gets detention

Translation:

Another student made the comment, "You need to push it in further" (innocent comment) and Dalton added "that's what she said"

A commenter added this to the post. Which is equally funny.

"My parents received a call from my brother's school. They said my brother had given his 2nd grade teacher the finger. Upon questioning my brother as to how he possibly thought this could have been a good idea, my brother replied in a very matteroffact way: "dad, someone had to do it and no one else would". Needless to say, my dad had to turn around so my brother didn't see him laughing."

From today's Steep and Cheap - this one is near and dear to my heart

I bike through the city and get honked at a lot. I'm not doing anything wrong, or at least anything that would encourage someone to honk at me. There a lot of short blocks and street lights, so at least half the time and without even trying I'll catch up to the person who honked while passing me. It's awkward. I usually bend down to peer into their car window to get an idea of who it is. They never look back. I try to refrain from knocking on their window just in case they keep a gun in the car to shoot potential carjackers. Unless they recklessly endanger my life, I try not to antagonize these people since that wouldn't be helpful for cyclist/driver relations. Through an open van window, I once suggested to a driver that he need not honk when passing me. I ride in the city, so I see a lot of cars that pass me. If they all honked, it would make a lot of needless racket. He turned and looked at me, his brows knitted in confusion, and he shook his head to indicate he didn't know what I was talking about. But I know he knew. Some people are a lot less comfortable when they're not driving away from you.

Culpeper Mornings

Power Outages cause extra work for tv stations
Culpeper - Population 4
Not sure why, but I could sure go for an ice cold Coca Cola, hows about you Mom?

Colin Huggins

Here's a friend and a good client that just released this song. I'm promoting it - he's a great guy, and weekly drags his pianos into the subway to play and get tickete by the authorities, later to get the tickets dismissed by the judge (since he's not breaking the law) and then do it again. I think he deserves our $.99 support on iTunes.

Hysterical Daily Show Clip

Finn or Fletcher, can one of you post a clip from Daily show this past Wednesday? It is the segment in which they bust on John McCain about being too old to be in government as a parody for openly gay/lesbian not being allowed in military. If you haven't seen it yet, it is a genius piece.
