Robin's Big Date!

This is being made into a movie.

Well actually.  It is going to be an episode in an anthology movie with other mini-movie things.  Except not this video exactly, but a video that is like this, but with a new plot.  Involving Penguin I'm sure.

Movie Cast:
Batman: Sam Rockwell
Robin: Justin Long
Wonderwoman: Leslie Bibb
The Penguin: John Hodgeman

Will we ever learn?

Woops, couldn't get my iphone to work sending a message this morning, but here is what I was going to post:

As it turns out, the number of cases and deaths from the the flu were actually LOWER this season than typically seen...

What is my point, you ask??? Be wary of the media's overzealous doomsday reports on anything and everything. It's hysterical, really, that for all of people's concerns it was actually a mild flu season! I can't get over it.

the story of stuff

i watched this video at the hospital yesterday for earth day. it's from 2007, so you may already know it. i didn't. it is awesome, although apparently, controversial for its bias. it's 20 minutes, but completely engaging, educational, important, and clearly told. it's really good, and you haven't already watched it, i highly recommend it.

Cake: The Distance (5-year Old)

The Bully List

First off, "badder" isn't a word.  Secondly, this video is fascinating.  This woman, whose child was put on this "bully list" feels as if he was unjustly put there.  But what if he wasn't?  Does this mother oppose the bully list altogether or just that her kid is on it?

Jennifer Knapp is gay

So.  Interesting story here.  Although not particularly unique, it is pretty interesting anyway.

Jennifer Knapp is a christian musician

---------------------------------

Quoting this CNN Article:

"This week Knapp burst back onto the music scene with news of a comeback and a coming out. Her new album will be released in May, and she has revealed that she has been in a same-sex relationship for the past eight years."

Mark Moring, senior associate editor for Christianity Today, was one of the first to write about Knapp's revelation and said it has been extremely polarizing among his publication's audience. People have vacillated between anger that Christianity Today would even write the story and praise for Knapp's honesty, he said.
"There are people who will always love Jennifer Knapp, no matter what decisions she may make," Moring said. "I think the word that I've read the most often [among those commenting on the Christianity Today web site] is 'sad' as in 'I'm sad that she has made this choice, but I still love her music.' I think that has been a recurrent theme."

--------------------

So what I find interesting, are some of the comments people have posted.

--------------------------------
Younger generations are increasingly more accepting of gays in our society. Someday all the older generations of bigotry will die out and we won't have to read about who's gay and who's a lesbian. It's only a matter of time before gay rights are a reality and bigotry is (on this issue at least) a thing of the past.
--------------------------------

Lots of Christians fall for sexual deviance - our society expects it. Not a big story. Sad, but not a big deal.
--------------------------------
Funny how stars always find the need for honesty *after* they've found fame and fortune. How Christian of her.
--------------------------------
No worries girl, Jesus never existed so Christianity has no base but a bunch of lies. History doesn't lie!
--------------------------------
She's hot... I'd totally be gay for her!
--------------------------------
If there is a god he made her this way and she should be proud to be the person she is. I have never listen to her music but I think it is great that she is standing up for what she believes and is doing what she loves and is with the one she loves.
--------------------------------
Personally i think that satan had gotten ahold of her. Using her to turn people away from Christianinty and our beliefs. Com'on people don't let yourself fall into sin... we are stong in Christ and with Him anything is possible, like overcoming. I suggest praying for her and rebuking the devil and his sneaky sly ways! I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love, so that you, may have the power to understand how broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ's love. Ephesians 3:17-18
--------------------------------
Beside the fact of this article, she's pretty hot
--------------------------------
Personally, I'm a Letucian. I've recently discovered the written teachings of Head Of Lettuce. HOL gave his body (a head of Iceberg lettuce) that we may eat. And live! He died for our....salads! I commemorate this holy miracle each day when I prepare a salad using Romaine, Iceberg, Arugula and other leafy greens, sometimes with equally hold dressing. It's the last thing I eat in the evening, my Last Supper.
--------------------------------
If there is a god, Christianity and most other religions are a distortion of what god really is. People are always claiming to know what god wants, but it is really what people want, and they try to make it legitimate by saying this what god wants.
--------------------------------
I believe in pikachu. when i die ima go and catch em all :)
--------------------------------
Isn't homosexuality and Christianity polar opposites? Or am I the only one who knows the story of Sodom and Gommorah? Interesting.

Twins Come Home!

I have a new appreciation for the twins computer ability. I was spoiled by them and now I appreciate them!! My stinkin computer hates all internet browsers. Mozilla turns in to Japanese or Chinese writing at random and internet explorer is well internet explorer. So, big project due and I might have to pay (and not with chocolate chip cookies) someone to fix my stinkin computer. I have a new appreciation for the experts they are and how nice they are to help me out when I call stressed!! -Emily
