My first Astrophotography

Okay, so not too impressive, i know, but still, pretty exciting for a city-lit atmosphere in a small telescope with an old small digital camera hand held.
1) Jupiter and 4 moons higher zoom
2) Jupiter and 4 moons lower zoom

through the telescope i could clearly see 2 lines across Jupiter.

"Why so serious?"

And a bunch of other stuff that is likely not kid-friendly enough to post on this blog.

Jump to flee from the devil

Police are trying to find out if the group jumped voluntarily or were forced to jump

Police are investigating the incident which took place in the early hours in the small town of La Verriere, west of Paris.

The baby was four months old and officers said many of the injured were children.
"Thirteen people were in an apartment on the second floor when, at around 3am, one of the occupants heard his child crying," said Odile Faivre, the deputy prosecutor in Versailles.
"The man in question, of African origin, who was completely naked, got up to feed his child, at which point the other occupants took him for the devil.

Odile Faivre, the deputy prosecutor in Versailles
"He was seriously wounded in the hand after being stabbed with a knife before he was thrown out of the apartment, via the door."

The 30-year-old man then tried to force his way back into the room.
"That's when the other occupants tried to escape by jumping out of the window, panicked by a fear of the devil," said Ms Faivre.

Police are questioning the naked man as well as another man who jumped from the window with a two-year-old girl in his arms.

Seven of those injured - who were African, possibly from Angola - were taken to hospital for emergency treatment.

Detectives are trying to find out if the group jumped voluntarily or were forced to jump.

The Ghostly White Snailfish

Cell Phone Statistics

If you think you see people never letting go of their mobile phones, you aren't imagining things. The latest report from Nielsen shows that the average teen in the US is now sending and/or receiving 3,339 text messages every month.
That breaks down to around 111 texts a day, or about one text message every 15 minutes. It's pretty astounding that this is the *average* of every single teenager in the US with a cell phone.

Female users edged out their male counterparts, as the average female teen was reported to exchange 4,050 texts every month. The number is only 2,539 for males.
Interestingly, though actually not surprising at all, the usage of voice features on mobile phones is decreasing. The average teen now spends just 646 minutes talking on their phone, a 14% decrease from last year. Everyone is spending more time texting and less time talking.
In fact, actually using their phone as a phone was the only thing people are doing less. More teens are sending pictures messages and taking their mobile online. Nearly half of all teenagers now actively connect to the Internet from their phone.
In this metric, male users are leading. They use 75 MB of mobile data per month, on average, while female teens are only downloading 53 MB. Both of those numbers are gargantuan jumps from the same time last year, though, where the average teen was only using between 11 MB and 17 MB of data.
Teenagers that Nielsen polled said they preferred texting to talking because it was easier, faster, and more fun. Of course it also makes those teen things - like talking to someone you have a crush on, or letting your parents know you'll be out late - less intimidating.
Texting was ranked by teens as the most important reason to own a phone, with 43% making that assertion. 35% said that safety was the

Random Person's "Iron Giant" Review

I found this review on Netflix.

I just got through watching part of this movie. Its a movie about a giant liberal robot that hates the U.S., and the second amendment of our Constitution. It made me so angry I turned it off, and then donated to a gun rights group and another Conservative group online right before typing this post. The anti-hunting and anti-gun propaganda is far more sickening an inappropriate for children than is the language or violence. Its disgusting that liberals put unpopular propaganda in a kids movie with the intent of influencing their future political views. I dont like it in movies for adults either, but its MUCH worse when its in a childrens movie as a subtle form of brainwashing aimed at a childs developing brain. The large majority of Americans have no problem with hunting or the guns that are a part of the tradition and culture of our great nation. Americans who hate guns should either try and legally change our Constitution(which is impossible because there is no support for that whatsoever), or stop trying to pass unconstitutional laws and move to a nation that doesnt give their people the Constitutional right to bear arms.
