ok, thats funny. seriously though - a brand new species of monkey (well, brand new to us). Pretty cool.

sometimes i wonder if the Creator doesn't just make up an animal which wasn't there before, to be discovered (naturally it would meet the apparent qualifications of evolution_ by us, as part of Her divine plan. SO that in a few yuears we'll suddenly discover a monkey that speaks english quite well - "how did we miss it?!" we'll say - well, because it wasn't there...

"her" divine plan? such a feminist...

feminist, or factist?

yeah, this is interesting. It is not uncommon to find new species for insects and other small species, but seems surprising to locate a brand new species from the monkey family in 2012. Really cool, and a bit surprising to me.

not cool to me. kinda annoying, actually. the locals already knew about it. it's not a discovery. it's like when they "discovered" a large body of water by jinja, uganda, and renamed it lake victoria after the european who RE-discovered it.

with that being the case, I definitely agree. It would, after all, be pretty surprising for there to be a new species of this magnitude out there. Either way, it is new to me and pretty cool.
